Greetings from Regionals!

Yo!

Mr. Swag himself let me take over swag segment for just today since I am at regionals. For those of you that have no idea what goes down at regionals I’ll give you a lil inside scoop!

Mornings for the judges and staff begin at 7:00am. We go over all the wods including standards and what is expected of us. Athletes get briefed at 9:00 and opening ceremony follows at 9:30. First wod begins at 10. The picture below is the calm right before the storm. Within minutes the seats are filled with CrossFitters, spectators, family members anxiously awaiting to see these top athletes of the dirty south wod it out! Three day long with two wods per day. As of today, it has been an EXTREMELY emotional weekend. Yes yes we all know I cry for nothing BUT this is an amazing experience. Watching the most fittest athletes cheer each other one while they are barely gasping for air as they recover from the wod they just finished is what this community is alllll about. Talk about camaraderie, humbleness and tight asses coming together as a family! What amazes me the most is the majority of the 3k+ people here are fit. We all share a common interest. The day for the athletes ends at 5/6pm. Another meeting is held for the judges right after.

Tomorrow is the last day and I highly encourage you all to drive 45 minutes North, pay 10 bucks and spend it watching an amazing site to see. Tomorrow concludes this 3 day journey and we will see who the top 3 females, 3 males and 3 teams who will make it to the games in California !
